DESCRIPTION:
This is the first in a planned series of related levels. I plan
on 4 levels total for this project.
I started this level wanting to recreate the city and skyline
from the movie BladeRunner. I quickly realized that all the
buildings and locations I wanted to include wouldn't fit into
just one map, so I decided to make it a series. I've deviated
from the movie into just a large futuristic city with
incredibly high skyscrapers and an insane skyline.
This map uses a highly customized set of con files (defs.con,
game.con, & user.con), plus new sounds and art. You'll surely
want to back up your current cons, and if you're using
TILES014.ART, it as well. Then just unzip the file (BLADES.ZIP),
and place all the files into your Duke directory. I've modified
the cons, so you don't even have to type SETUP to select Blade
as a user map. Just type in DUKE3D as you would for a normal
game. When you want to play the first regular level (e1l1)
again, you'll need to put your original cons back into the Duke
directory. Have fun! ;)
